Full-time Remote, 32 Hours/Week, $92,000 – $112,000 Annual Salary

The Role

As a Director of Strategy at 4Site, you’ll be a strategic partner to nonprofits working to grow their digital fundraising and advocacy programs. Our clients set the fundraising, list growth, and engagement goals. They also typically work with other agency partners, consultants, and internal teams to hit them. And while you won’t own that goal, you will own doing everything we can to support them. Your job is to be the person they rely on for ideation, platform execution, and the opportunities they haven’t spotted yet, collaborating closely with that broader team of partners and staff to move the program forward. You’ll own a portfolio of clients and work across platforms like Engaging Networks and WordPress.

This is not a role where you hand off a strategy deck and move on. You’ll be in the platform building pages, in the data finding the story, and on calls with clients figuring out what to do next. We’re a small team where everyone contributes to the craft, not just the direction.

This is important: In order to be considered for this position, you must have at least five years of direct, hands-on experience using the digital fundraising tools used by nonprofits, either as a consultant or a staff member at a nonprofit. We are especially keen on folks with extensive Engaging Networks, WordPress and Google Analytics knowledge; though people with in-depth understanding of similar platforms will be considered (eg. EveryAction, Drupal, GTM, etc.)

Who Thrives Here

We’ve learned a lot about what makes someone successful at 4Site. If most of these describe you, we should talk:

Core Responsibilities

1. Strategic and account leadership

You’ll be the lead strategist for a portfolio of 5-8 clients. That means running regular client check-in calls alongside 4Site’s account PM, scoping new projects, auditing analytics setups, advising on fundraising page performance, and helping clients figure out where their next dollar of growth is coming from. You’ll use tools like Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, and Microsoft Clarity to ground your recommendations in real data, not gut feel. We expect you to proactively identify opportunities clients haven’t asked about yet and bring ideas to the table before problems become urgent.

2. Project execution and team collaboration

You’re accountable for the strategic integrity of projects from scoping through launch. That means close, continuous work with our project managers, designers, and developers. From initial estimates through final QA, you’ll stay embedded with the project team to catch risks early and make sure the finished product reflects what the client actually needs. You have the authority to guide execution and the responsibility to ensure our work meets standards we’re proud of.

3. Business and partnership development

You’ll play a growing role in the agency’s growth:

4. Team contribution and professional growth

As a key member on a small team, you’ll create reusable templates, document processes, and contribute to our shared knowledge base. You’ll mentor colleagues, share what you’re learning, and help build the kind of agency where everyone gets better over time. This role requires you to stay current on nonprofit technology, analytics, and digital fundraising trends through your own initiative. We provide a professional development stipend to support that, but the drive has to come from you.
