Remote (U.S.) · Part-Time Contract (1099) · ~10–15 hrs/week · $60/hour
About 4Site
We’re 4Site Studios — a tight-knit troupe of about a dozen developers, designers, project managers and strategists who help progressive, mission-driven organizations tackle complex web, fundraising, and digital engagement challenges. We care a lot about doing good and helping our clients succeed.
Specifically, we support the digital fundraising teams inside large nonprofits — usually big, often international organizations that run on WordPress and manage their supporters on platforms like Engaging Networks, Bonterra, Blackbaud, and/or Salesforce. They’re the people we want to keep reaching, and we want our marketing to sound like we genuinely get them. (We do.)
If you’re a sharp writer who’s energized by progressive causes and likes getting real work out the door, keep reading.
About the Role
We produce quality marketing content, just not always consistently. Ideas get drafted and then stall. Newsletters go out a little later than they should. Great case studies sit unpublished. We’re hiring a Part-Time Marketing Contractor to fix exactly that — to take content that’s already been scoped, drafted, or researched and carry it the rest of the way to polished, published, and on time.
This is hands-on production and coordination for 4Site’s own marketing (not client work). We won’t ask you to invent the whole strategy from scratch — you’ll be the reliable pro who keeps the show running: editing, publishing, promoting, and making sure nothing important gets stuck.
You’ll thrive here if you write well, work fast, are genuinely comfortable using AI to multiply your output, and understand our nonprofit-fundraising audience well enough to write things that speak to them.
What You’ll Do
Content & Publishing
- Copy edit, format, QA, and publish two email newsletters per month in HubSpot (topics and draft content provided).
- Develop and publish two blog posts per month from supplied drafts, topics, and research — editing, formatting, and getting them live.
- Clear a backlog of ~12 portfolio/case study pieces, then publish roughly one per month thereafter, coordinating reviews, edits, approvals, and final updates.
- Repurpose content across email, blog, website, and social channels.
Social Media & Promotion
- Draft and schedule 2–3 LinkedIn posts per week, promoting newsletters, blog posts, portfolio pieces, and other assets.
- Actively manage LinkedIn engagement — responding to comments and keeping conversations and relationships alive (with a sensible weekly time boundary we’ll set together).
- Support recurring thought leadership and promotional content, including a monthly webinar.
Events
- Help us make the most of three major conferences a year — pre-event promotion, on-site materials, and lead follow-up afterward.
Marketing Operations & Coordination
- Collect and report on marketing analytics (GA4, HubSpot, LinkedIn), and recommend ways to optimize based on what’s actually working.
- Maintain our HubSpot contacts database and support related list tasks.
- Oversee and coordinate periodic improvements to our website.
- Keep tasks organized and on schedule; follow up with internal contributors to collect missing inputs, edits, and approvals.
- Maintain publishing checklists and document the repeatable workflows so the trains keep running.
Who We’re Looking For
- A genuinely strong writer and editor. Sharp copy editing, clean proofreading, and a real feel for tone and persuasion. This one’s non-negotiable.
- Someone who gets our audience. Experience working in the digital fundraising / nonprofit world — or for companies that serve it — is critical. You understand digital fundraisers and the platforms they live in (Engaging Networks, Bonterra, Blackbaud, Salesforce, and the like).
- Bought into the mission. Our clients are advocacy groups, charities, and movements doing progressive work — and it shows when the person writing about them actually cares.
- Fluent with AI tools (e.g. Claude, Gemini) for drafting, editing, repurposing, and moving fast. You treat AI as a force multiplier while still owning the quality, accuracy, and voice — and you bring the efficiency that comes with it.
- Dependable. You keep a consistent, predictable delivery schedule and can be trusted to get work out the door without anyone having to chase you.
- 3+ years in marketing, communications, content marketing, or marketing coordination.
- Excellent organization and follow-through; comfortable juggling multiple small projects and recurring deadlines.
- Comfortable shaping rough input into finished, published content.
- Handy with our core tools: Google Workspace, HubSpot, WordPress (or a similar CMS), Figma, LinkedIn, and Google Analytics (GA4).
- Detail-obsessed when it comes to formatting, QA, and publishing.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Engaging Networks or similar nonprofit CRMs/eCRMs (a real plus given our audience, but not required).
- A grasp of account-based marketing (ABM) — handy, since we market to a defined set of target organizations.
- Agency experience.
- B2B or professional-services marketing experience.
- Experience turning webinars, client work, or presentations into reusable marketing content.
- A basic eye for layout and visual presentation.
What Success Looks Like
- Newsletters and blog posts go out on time, with a lot less last-minute scrambling.
- The portfolio backlog gets cleared, and new pieces ship like clockwork.
- Our LinkedIn presence stays active, engaged, and on-message.
- Internal ideas turn into actual published content, consistently.
- Leadership spends less time on repetitive publishing and admin.
- 4Site shows up the way we want to — polished, useful, and credible to the fundraising teams we’d love to call clients.
The Details
- Type: Independent contractor (1099); not an employee role.

- Rate: $60/hour.
- Location: Remote, U.S.-based.
